Joined by a common cause, the main characters of Final Fantasy XII showcase the wide range and diversity of Ivalice . From a royalty to a pirate, the casts' different backgrounds show that in a world where Humes and Bangaas coexist, where kingdoms are at a war, and loyalties remain clouded, being different doesn't mean anything at all. The six main character are Vaan, Ashe, Fran, Balthier (Balflear in Japanese), Penelo and Basch.
